Bilderbuch fur Kinder (Picturebook for Children) was a 12-volume encyclopedia with 100 full-colour copperplate engravings in each volume. With explanatory text in German, French, Spanish and Italian, the series was aimed at providing young people with a broad introduction to the worlds of natural history, botany, science and the classics.
